Winter 2016

Have you heard the news? Bob Duglin and I took on additional responsibilities with our parent company, ASTA. I remain NACTA President and will cover ASTA Operations as Senior Vice President,

including membership retention and growth, chapter involvement and working with our valued consortia partners. I’m honored to work more directly with ASTA in this role.

Congratulations to Bob on his additional supplier responsibilities. He remains NACTA Vice President, Business Development and adds Vice President of Business Development, ASTA, to his title. Both associations are fortune to have his talent and benefit from his industry connections, hard work and determination.

NACTA gains from these changes by implementing new membership benefits, growing NACTA supplier involvement and creating a more synergist ASTA relationship. I thank Lisa Watson, Marketing and Communications Director, for keeping NACTA membership benefits, tools and promotions prominent. Don McGahee remains Manager of Member Sales and Service. New to NACTA is Janet Leighty, Coordinator, Marketing Programs & Services. All are integral to our team.

Thanks for your NACTA involvement. Your annual survey responses are important to better understanding the independent agent segment and showcasing our membership to the industry! We had record-breaking response. ICs continue to climb—no surprise given your professionalism, knowledge and expertise.

With the NACTA IC report findings’ popularity, we’ll send another survey asking a few questions about your business. We seek averages—average service fee NACTA members’ charge, average sales per client, compensation earned and sales revenues—so members can better measure their business. A NACTA IC benchmarking focus group will meet during our annual conference to provide additional insight. Thank you for supporting NACTA by providing input.
