“We really want to recognize what travel consultants do every day to assist their clients, and this month is really about giving back to them in the same way they give back to their clients,” said Ann Chamberlin, ASTA Small Business Network President. “The importance of a travel consultant both in terms of having a better experience and getting a better deal cannot be overlooked. We know from research that 63 percent of travelers who use a travel consultant are more satisfied than those who do not.”

According to new research from the American Society of Travel Agents, travel consultants save travelers on average four hours in trip planning, and $452 from the total cost of the trip. “The question isn’t why would I use a travel agent,” said Chamberlin, “it really ought to be, why wouldn’t I?” For anyone unsure of how to find a professional travel consultant and why to use a travel consultant, ASTA Small Business Network has made it easy at FindATravelConsultant.com.

Among the special events ASTA Small Business Network will be hosting in May are two complimentary business development webinars.
