October 16, 2013, Alexandria, VA –ASTA Small Business Network (SBN) announced the promotion of Robert Duglin to Vice President of Sales and Industry Relations for SBN at their annual convention held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the Westin Beach Resort & Spa on September 20, 2013.
Duglin joined SBN as a travel agent member in 2008. He was the founding director of SBN’s South Florida Chapter which currently numbers 130 SBN travel professionals. Duglin worked for SBN on a contract basis to manage SBN’s educational and seminar at sea program prior to accepting a full time position as Director of Sales and Industry Relations.
Prior to SBN, Duglin worked as a front line independent travel consultant and previously served in a variety of management positions at American Airlines, DIRECTV Latin America & Club Vacations USA, and is a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Conference attendee members and suppliers showed their overwhelming support with a standing ovation in front of a home town crowd. SBN represents 1800 members, including travel consultants, regional directors, chapter directors, host agencies and suppliers.
